KM 30.5cc won't run

Hey guys I just bought a KM 1/5 buggy with the 30.5 cc motor and I am getting spart and seems like its getting fuel and feels like it has good compression (60 psi) but won't run. I bought it that way. Just want to know if there is a problem that I am overlooking or what? Any help would be great.

try putting a few drops of 2 stroke oil in the cylinder......take plug out and put 2 or 3 drops in it.......should fire up
 
not for sure on exact psi but if you put your thumb over the plug hole and pull the starter the compression should lift your thumb off the hole.
 
was this a rebuilt engine? thats seems to happen when the engine is rebuilt or taken apart and re assembled, check the squish of the head.any head shims on this engine?copper spacers between the head and the crankcase
 
just because you have a spark at the plug,it does not always mean you have

a good plug:D before doing anything drastic try a brand new plug;)

1+ with that idea also did you choke it until it tried to run? Then turn the choke off and it should fire right up.
 
Is it a new never run engine or second hand, either way if you haven't started this engine yourself in the past then i'd firstly check your carb setting, H 1 1/4 turns and L 1 1/2 turns out...check fuel lines on the right way around, the clunk in the fuel tank to the bottom of the carb..
 
well I noticed that there was leakage from the head gasket so I took the head off and there is only one gasket on the head then the copper one to the block so I assume that the one from the copper one to the block is missing or blown out. I am thinking about just buying a rebuild kit from "Dan" on ebay and just redo the engine. Is there a place that I can just buy a gasket kit?
