If you needed to swap the stock motor on a KM 5b 2.0 with a zenoah, would you need any special parts to make it fit? Or is it a direct swap?

straight swap no problem

its a direct swap but make sure the zenoah has the small mounting tab under the clutch housing,

You can also use the cy clutch housing on your zenoah motor

thats were he could hit a problem mate, the k,m clutch housing is moulded to one side of the crankcase and can,t be removed ,but he could just get a c,y mount as you said.
