Well i got my king motors baja yesterday and went over it and charged the battery up. First thing i did was eliminate the stock exhuast and added a DDM dominator (rear). Second thing was to get rid of the stock reciever and radio and add a Futaba 3pm 2.4ghz Fasst.

I fired it up today took it for a spin and all i can say is wow....Why do people need more power?? 23cc is plenty of power for this thing. I hit the throttle and it just goes crazy starts spinning out. I took it in the grass and the girlfriend was MAD cuz i tore the grass all up. To make a long story short.......the thing is well built for being a knock-off baja. Next thing will be to hook up my kill switch. Oh be sure to tighten your wheel nuts down as mine flew off and wheel went rolling down the road!! :clown: Found the nut laying next to the car as it came skidding to a stop. Bolted it back on and let her rip some more! Stock tires are junk too i have about 50% tread left and ive only ran about half a tank through it mostly road.

Sound like some fun! Ya, I think the tires seem soft too. You will find after you get used to the power and speed that you need more. Thats the large scale addiction.

Im already thinking that. Even though it has plenty of power already i wouldnt mind a little more RPM in the top end. I already have an 8k spring to put on the clutch but i have to get a drill bit first so i can enlarge the spring hole a little bit. Hopefully i can get a video of it running sometime soon.

Why do you need to enlarge the spring hole?

Im pretty sure the stock clutch spring holes are smaller than the hpi baja therefore need to be enlarged slightly for the spring to fit. Am i wrong? I haven't tried it yet....but i will let you know when i do.

There a knock off clutch shoe. The hole will be a bit small for the thicker red spring. You don't need to drill them much bigger just go up in sizes until the new spring fits.

Not sure what change it would make with the KM motor but I run the clutch shoes backward with that spring in all my other models.
