hi guys

what to i need to strenghen on a km 001 to make it strong enough to handle a good powerful engine and pipe. im not sure wheaher to go with an existing long rod engine and get a pro pipe, but...... i wanted this build to be abit mental! so maybe a bizeta 50cc or lr twin. at the moment im doing some research on all the engines.seems the twin will take more fettling with 2 carbs etc, the bzm 50 seems it would be easier to maintain and tune but they don't seem to be as lively and don't rev or spool up like the twin.the twins are evil!!
upto now it had a new diff with alloy casing , i heard the [plastic one was weak. front and back alloy suspension braces. front alloy tower. going to order steel gears, probably twin speed.and know ill need dogbones.
i think ill leave the front arms plastic i think its more the rear and driven parts. what else do i need to get? i want to get one of those steel cages that cover everything, i think its better than using a shell! do i need to convert to 5t/t1000 to use this cage?
so if anyone has done the build or has any good points i should know about can you please let me know. also what pipe and engine combo are you using on your baja?

hankyou

i'd strengthen all chassis parts with alloy swapouts that are plastic. i would leave the arms plastic for break points, front and rear bumpers plastic for hit absorbption, and with added weight of engine, definately upgrade the shocks to heavier duty ones with the right oils in them. oh yah the diff, make it all alloy with the TR split diff case
