Just got my KM Baja 3.0 from Dan and am having a problem with the led lights. They keep coming on and then going off...the flicker for a sec or two then go off..just acting crazy. I did charge the receiver pack to make sure it wasnt a low battery warning..but it did the same thing no matter if I just charged the battery pack. I tried emailing Dan since last week with no response still. Im not sure if im liking the quality of this KM compared to my HPI. Its hard to tune, the rear tire already ripped at the beadlock, the steering servo broke and im just driving breaking it in. Im afraid its gonna fall apart if I run this full throttle. So far not liking the quality or customer support from Dan..

Dan is great he will respond back to you he is very busy you will here from you and he will get you straight. Sorry to here that maybe you just have a bad model that happens in all brands no matter what there is always a lemon. Dan will respond soon and get the lights worked out for you its not hard to tune at all they all tune the same maybe check the carb and make sure all is well there. I have not and many others on here have not had any problems except for the normal RTR problems that are found on any brand.
 
are these the lights with the KM ontroller? need a bit more info on these lights, the controller and if you have them connected to your reciever for additional control
 
and as for dan not answering, he did not answer alot of people, but he got back to me tody so im sure he will or already has gotten back you today
 
-wait you got a km with lights? thats some BULL..... i had to by my lights, thats it i want a recount.
did they come with the KM light controller? or are they just plugged into the receiver pack or receiver?

did your lites come with the controller from km? you should of gotten a sheet on that,by the way you described the issue sounds like it needs to setup, not to sure how that system works since i haven't seen it in person, but if you gotta a pic of the controller if it came with one, if not how is was it set- up on the baja direct battery? receiver? etc.

if the manual doesn't tell ya anything bout these lights then i would definately wait for Dan to get back, it says right at bottom make sure everything works, and from the sounds of it the lights arent working right. might be a case of a return to him and a new baja sent out to you.

He would not have to return the baja just for the lights it might just be the controller or just needs to be setup but worst case he would just have to return the lights and dan will get him straight.
 
maybe just depends on what Dan says on it tho. most of the time just the affected part/s need to be sent, but it could be radio system too, ya don't know, may be easier to send whole baja, who knows?

Ok your right who knows but I can never see it being easier to return the baja even its the radio or the receiver that's all can go wrong on the radio if its the lights it can only be the radio the light controller the receiver or the lights. Even if it could not run and the motor was bad its easier and a lot cheaper to take the motor out and return then it would be to send the complete baja back.
 
thats true too. wasnt really disagreein with what ya said tho. your right too, cheaper to send a few busted parts back than whole baja, guess its just gonna depend on what Dan wants to do on it.

Yup my lights do the same thing
