you whould be able to get one, i beleive its a 29cc 36mm head thats been milled out the 2mm to fit the longer rod, otherwise you add 2mm copper head shims,
what does your head have now? if you can see a copper spacer under the head if it's not milled, and the 29cc will be a direct drop in, if not you will need to add the 2mm head shims, along with stock gaskets,

Im not sure what my head has..all i know its a stock 30.5cc t1000.. i don't have any specs for the motor..depending on price of head and gaskets i might just bite the bullet and nuy a zenoah g290..

well thats why i said if you can see a copper color spacer its a shimmed head no spacer its a milled head, you should be able to see the base of the head where the head meets the engine case

if it is a stock km engine then its most likely got the copper gasket. i know my stock 30.5cc km engine has the copper gasket in it.

You don't need to replace the cylinder head you can have it heli coiled as mentioned or drill and tap it to the the next size

well let's weigh the cost's have it heli coiled or re-thread i found the M5 and M6 kits for $23-28 per set helicoil, a decent re-thread kit not just the tap,but the other essentials drill, tap and inserts $63, now have you done any that before? thats the question,if not you can break the taps in the head, or leave the helicoil to loose that it backs out or falls out,or even crack the head if you did not pre-drill the right size
or $60 head shipped from DDM.

i would just grab the new head and ring and be done with it,
but thats just my opinion, either way do what you have to do to get the buggy up and going

he needs a 36mm head with what he has now, the 30.5's have a 36mm piston/ring, the head from the gp290 is the one he would need to get,
unless he's changing the piston then he can use any of them

Yea your right, i am going thru the same thing but mine the chrome plating flacked off. i am just going with the 35mm head, its alot cheaper and going from a km head to a cy head even though i am losing 1.5cc i bet there will be 0 loss in power and maybe gain a few points, plus you don't need to add a spacer. Also they are a $20 cheaper for the normal ones.
