I was wondering if there are any differences mechanical or assemble wise between the 23cc engine that comes with a King motor baja and the hpi fuelie 23cc?

there exacly the same in fact the km comes with fuely stickers,
The KM is way different and is not one to upgrade in my opinion. I would say the true HPI Fuely CY23cc is better in my opinion.
The bottom end on the KM is completely different and not even a copy.
The top end is different.
The piston is different.
The carb is different.
This is the one area that you save monrey but you get a product that I would recommend replaceing instead of upgrading.

Well i bought a KM with the intention of converting it to brushless, but i ended up with my rampage which is brushless so im debateing on whether i want to still convert my KM Baja to brushless or upgrade the engine and leave it gas. Part of the debate is price, brushless price vs leaving it gas, and the other part is the fact that im wheelchair bound, which is really the reason that i starting converting everything to electric power. The price for brushless vs gas comes out to be the same, so the debate comes down to how much tuning and maintanance an gas engine requires vs brushless which requires vitually no maintaining. Sorry if that was alot of babling, i just had an energy drink, lol.

agreed! the km engine is totally different... the cy engines and zens are much better as well. the km engine runs decent, but when its dead just replace it with a cy or zen and then mod and re-build that when needed
