My comments won't mean much. And take them all with a grain of salt.
I bought 2 KM001 knowing I was gonna upgrade down the road. My thought was that since I am new to 5th, then not having experienced the 30.5cc then I wouldn't miss it so I was happy to experience the 23cc, because then I can always move up. Welcome to the group.

yep the 23 cc is a good engine. but while you are waiting for this sloppy snow to clear there are a few things you should check. check the screws make sure they are tight. check the air filter as the one on my km 001 was dry and it needs oil. there have been some reports of the shocks being built wrong but mine were ok. other then that welcome to 5th scale have some fun and get used to an empty wallet lol

Congrats and while you have time check the diff to make make sure it has fluid in it too. Mine didn't have much when I got it. As far as the extra $100 there is no such thing with 1/5 scales:)

I agree with all of the post above you should be happy with the 23cc motor a good motor and will higher revs then the 30.5cc motor the 30.5cc motor has more torque for coming of the line. Have fun and enjoy. Welcome.

mixture ratio

thanks all i fired her up today and tooled it up and down the street abit. ive got it mixt at a slightly fat 25/1 so its a little sluggish. a freind of mine has one he mixs 50/1 what do you recomend.

yes don't run 50;1 thers alot of guys on hear that joke about it but in the long run your going to be looking at a new motor so run 50;1 if u want the 30.5cc for summer :P you can run 50;1 but remember its less oil so the faster you engin will wear out an im sher we can all agree we arnt veary light on are cars,, balls to the walls :D
