i just bought my first rc car (rampage tt v3) and i don't seem to have any low end power. once it get up to speed it runs pretty good. very sluggish off the line though. is it a tuning problem? do i need to upgrade my clutch springs?
 
A good tuned pipe will wake it up. I would look into a DDM Side dominator or something similar :)
 
I upgraded my clutch spring and I think that seemed to help alot. I do have the side DOM pipe also, so that may actually have more affect on it.
 
Two other factors is you realy do need a little richer oil content during break in ( Two Tanks)


Higher oil ratio will make it slugish , but just make do until two tanks.


Another thing the cyl is very tight during the first three to four tanks so be patient . To speed this up after you get through the first two tanks. go to big parking lot or short grass field and do a lot of high speed runs .

mine was the same way when i first got it. do your breakin tanks first,starting with your needles at factory settings. if your top end is good at full speed leave your high speed needle alone. and in very small adjustments 1/16 a turn at a time close your low speed needle untill it starts improving. just don't go too lean. if your idle starts to get really high when your tuning the lsn your too lean. squirrel on you tube has a video on tuning a 2 stroke that will help get you started. it helps to hear what the engine should sound like so watch it before messing with your needles

Hi, yes i know i had the same problem, after been runig .28 nitros rc's my 26cc v3 dunerunner was a lot slower on take of, so, i upgraded the head to a 29cc, clutch spring, bigger air filter and a ddm side pipe is on the way.


The bigger head gives a new live to this babes.
