i'd like a lancia stratos :) keeps with the 2WD scheme of things. others could be a metro 6R4 group B, ford escort mk1 or mk2 rally, ford RS200 group B (which i think looks spectacular)... talbot sunbeam, audi quattro :)

will have a think n come up with a few more!

i've mentioned in other threads i'm gonna build up another 2WD FG from all the spares i've got left over, i've got a nice beetle shell to put on it but i've since come across this... cool eh

i've got a few lengths of foamex n the FG aluminium roll cage bars sat there, can knock something up n see what it's like.

Next step for me is to give it a quick spray to get excess dirt off it.

its important to angle the baja so that water doesn't get into the carby. I put an old filter on it to absorb water and drain in backward, if angled foward it would allow water to get in which you want to avoid where possible.

i also like to lay out the body and other bits so they can be cleaned in the one go. i soak with with CT18 for about 10 mins before I spray off.

Traxxas sucks they will never build anything worth pissing on. Associated/LRP has shown what a ready to run can be at a resonable price with the SC8e and that is a RTR that with a few bens can smoke anything on the market without spending more than $700 add $300 for M11X Radio SSR System and it is as good as it gets untill you spend $1800-$3000 for the Best 1/5 money can buy. MCD is the now and future FG is on the way out do to lack of availability of parts for models older than 2 years even new stuff dealers are dropping FG due to distributers closing all over the world. I loved FG till I couldn't get parts and noticed MCD had began to put out tested poop better and durable. HPI is trying to build an affordable reliable 1/5 and has carved out a big chunk of 1/5 bizz but they have a way to go before they come close to MCD. If you have $1100 save it till it is $1800 or more and MCD will be worth wait. The B5 and Buggy have a shelf life of 6 months if used daily at best.
MCD will last years.
Cool ideas on bodies guys.
