Every time I run my car I noticed there's a little bit of fuel by the adjustment screws of the carburetor could this be coming from the gasket on the manifold or is it possible that it can leak through the screws for adjustment I noticed it started leaking when I'm tuning the engine it never leak before any help would be appreciated

It could be the seal which lives under the nylon block priming bulb.. things look "cleaner" from that corner working its way downwards. May be worthwhile to start there. There are also two very small O-rings which live behind the LSN & HSN screws, one of those might have perished. Does it run OK, or you think there could be some improvement?

Seems to run ok i have no noticeable difference just noticing oil not fuel which i thought it was at first, maybe the manifold? What do you think?gasket? Heres a better couple pics20180324_161227(0).webp 20180324_161227(0).webp 20180324_161227.webp 20180324_161213.webp

Looks like the carb isn't flush with the insulator block on the head of the engine... remove the air filter and see if you can tighten things up on the carbs 2 screws.

That crap you're seeing is combustion blowback.

It'll be worth removing the carb actually and inspect the gasket between, perhaps that's split, or the carb just needs tightening up.

Also take off the iso block and see if it warped. Those things warp easily and will cause air leaks and leak oil/fuel out of them.

Something I've never looked into are the 990's. Is there a noticeable difference between the 668 and 990? I run a few 813 carbs, my Baja 5b seems a little more sprightly with it....I think?!

The jetting and metering spring is different. Just makes more fuel.. Yes there is a noticeable difference especially bottom end response..Not a ton but it does especially on ported motors..Just makes it crisper.. Check out my 5t and how good it runs..

That sounds really eager, and picks up so well! I've got a ported CY 26cc engine in my FG MB - it runs really well, but perhaps that would benefit from a 990..

PS - hope you've never hit any of those trees haha.. :p

lol Hit the trees a couple times but surprisingly never any damage..Also when you get bigger carbs and ported engines don't forget about hi flow fuel lines..

Update.....the carb bolts were loose hence he blowback from the engine was pushing out, tightened since ran 3 tanks through her and shes dry as a bone no more leaks.....
