OK so I tore down the ass end of my new KM Baja 5b to check diff fluid levels, bolt tightness, and install the Killer RC kill switch. Diff was good, but swapped it out for 3k fluid since I now have a bottle. Didn't have to worry about bolts being loose, mine may have been built on a Friday, but the dude was pissed about having to work Saturday. I work in aircraft for a living and I have never seen bolts that small that over tightened. Actually had to rig a home made breaker bar to get some loose. Anyway, back to topic...
So after getting engine, diff, and rear end most of the way back together I found a piece of hardware I didn't recognize rattling around in the buggy. It's a small cap with a hole in the end. Looked through the breakdowns in the KM manual, and a build book for the HPI, but didnt see it in either. The hole is an interference fit for a M5 screw, and inside of cup is large enough for the head of a M5 hex head cap screw. Hope description is good enough for now, it's at home and I am at work for the next 4 hours. I'll try to post a picture of it when I get home.
