Here's what my XB-E (aka XT-E) looks like under the hood...

  • Leopard 5692 (8mm shaft)
  • 7075rc Motor Mount
  • HobbyWing EZRun 150amp ESC
  • 48 tooth Spur
  • 10 tooth Pinion
  • Aluminum front and rear side links
  • Aluminum A-Arms
  • Aluminum Top Plate
  • Aluminum rear Wing stay
  • 7075rc Rear Bearing holders
  • 7075rc Front Bearing holders
  • Aluminum front and rear shock towers
  • Proline bow-tie's on desperato rims
  • ramtech hpi adapters (I have the 7075rc ones, but they need to have a few thousands shaved off for them to work)
  • killerrc light kit with 4 front light pods and rear tail lights and blue underglow

The only thing that is still non-replaced original parts are:

  • front and rear diffs
  • the chassis
  • rear bumper

NICE! What KV 5692 did you go with and how did it compare to stock?

I picked up the 1340kv which has been running pretty dam fast. I'll post some pics later with my setup which is close to yours.

I also picked up the 1340kv with the 8mm shaft from offshoreelectrics.com

It's very fast on 6s. I picked up a mamba xl so I could run 8s through it, but it was recalled. I sent it back on Sept 1, 2011 and Castle is shipping it back now. Should be in on Wednesday.... (today)

Once I get it, I may change up the spur and pinion. Maybe go to a 41 Tooth spur and a 16 Tooth pinion. That should make it fly on the straights....

Man mine was pretty dam fast on 11/48. I can't imagine 16/41. No doubt the motor can push it but do you think there will be any heat issues? Let me know how that goes. I'm interested in hitting light speed too :) .

God, I can't wait to get my parts and then get it all installed together, Gonna be a fun lil toy!!!!

11/48 here too on a leopard 1340kv!
