Was thinking of getting the thrust rims for my 5t, what you think? yes or no?
media-1.webp
and don't say go for it!!

need feedback on them? like dog bones, clutch etc
will they be able to cope with the stress with these big rims?

OR

just stick with my pro-line split 6 rims?

Thanks
Andrew

i cant see any reason why you will have any problems there a bit heavyer than stock rims and same size ect but should be nice and strong but would you realy want to bash with them on there not the cheapest of wheels for bashing i love the solid ones they would look killer mate

To give an example, I've got alloy wheels and big tyres on my FG MT, and JUST THE 4 WHEELS AND TYRES weigh 6kg !!!
Your call, but as they're saying, perhaps the nylon options are best for bashing - and you don't care when you snag them as they're a lot cheaper !!

don't forget Andy, once you bend an alloy rim you may as well throw it away, alloy doesn't bend mate ! Plastic rims are lighter thus creating less centrifugal force and less rotating mass so as not to put excess strain on the drive train.
Plastic also bends back into place and has flex( something you will need )
The best person to own a set of these is Keith, his cars never come off the shelf which is about all these wheels are good for.

The only alternative is 'shelf queen' with the thrust - reckon they go well with the 5T - and coloured / dyed plastic, or plain BLACK for bashing.

White will be cheesy with so much effort everywhere else. I reckon black nylon wheels if you can get them - they'll be extremely tough and light.
