I've purchased a lightweight flywheel to replace the current one.

I could order a flywheel puller...Or? Any suggestions how to pull one without the puller?

Then......If it's a pain to pull it, how do I attach the new one?

Thanks for your input.

I never bought a flywheel puller. I have had to pull many. With what you ask? Make your own for under $2.00.

And if your even cheaper like me you will make a piston stopper.

Keep looking down and you will find a few more stopper ideas like a light fixture end.

I already made my own flywheel puller very similar to what you suggest. I used JB weld on the nut around the center bolt though. The weld broke and I'm apparently too dumb to simply use a wrench as suggested. :)

The piston stopper is simple enough. I'll go do this right now.

Still wondering about the pressure it takes to put the new flywheel on though.

looks like the home made puller is popular, i made one too a whiles back outta a bit of scrap aluminum, i don't bother with a piston stopper i just hold the flywheel with a bit of towel wrapped around it and use my air wrench to loosen and tighten, turned down of course, I do the clutch bolts the same way...never had any issues
