Lighter Main Chassis

I do this mod on cars I really get into, 1/10, 1/8, 1/5, it works on them all. I got the idea from my first RC car. I was looking for cheap performance when I discovered the Jang Rustler. I cant believe I didnt think of that! I got a few spare Ramp chassis from the Redcat sale so I wasnt afraid to try this out. I think it wil work because I left material around the areas that bend or have stress/torque around them.


Main chassis stock: 2 lbs 8.3 oz


Lightened chassis: 2 lbs 3.8 oz


Total weight losss diet: 4.5 oz! One quarter pound!

that is a cool idea, and it looks cool too, it kinda has a mad max look to it

Is there a carbon fiber chassis on the market, would be a great way to do away with weight. Thanks.

No. You'd have to make it yourself. I had a few ideas, but lost interest.
