Still enjoying this 2 wheel drive beast. Tried out the wheel extensions that came with front brake kit. While it eliminates the e-clips on the front, known flaw on o.g. baja, the rotors started sliding off them. I had planned ahead when l bought truck and ordered the hpi upgraded bolt style hubs. They were installed on the baja sc back in the day as a fix from hpi. If you haven't popped an e-clip off your baja front wheels you may not be familiar but rovan sells the upgraded ones. Anyway with the hpi upgraded ones installed rotors are good. Rear extensions are fine so l have a slightly wider rear to front width, looks cool.Going to get some rear shock towers, upper plate and swaybar clamps . Rear swaybar keeps pulling out and upper aluminum shock plate holes wallerd out . Aluminum rovan shock caps are also getting very sloppy. Don't want to dump a ton of money in it but just address the weak points to keep it reliable. Rebuilt shocks, just rears today and that's when l found these issues. Shocks look great other than the cap/mount holes. l think detroit rc has irc and another style......kraken maybe.... for sale but no rush to replace. Any thoughts on shocks appreciated.
