If that is how you say it. How long to let your car sit before it sets?

depending on what i loctite'd i'll either let it sit over night or run it right away. as long as you torqued the bolt or nut good i think you should be able to get away w/running it pretty much after you put it on.

Yes it supposed to sit overnight but yes sometimes this is very hard to do LOL.

If I am working on a car in the morning and want to drive it later the same day, I take my soldering iron to the screw and heat it up a few times, Mostly have done this with the pinion grub screw, as long as it's not in a sensitive area such as going through plastic it is a quick way of getting the loc-tite to set up quicker, I also have had less problems with pinions coming loose by doing this

i always heard that heat is what you apply to the screw with loctite to make it break free.i had no idea it would cause it to set faster also

I use Perma-Lok nut lock Fixture time 20 minutes Full cure time 24 hours

Loctite is anaerobic. That's what the nerds call it anyway.

I don't think the heat will interfere with it setting up though.

What brand and grade of threadlock does everyone like?

I use Three Bond brand.

Blue for screws I take out a lot.

Green for high heat areas.

Red for gluing bearings into housings.

Orange if I don't ever want it to come out again.
