i finished replacing the front/center/rear diff bearings in my son's xt-b but the rear end is locked. i have no idea why but i am tired & calling it a night. i'll open it up tomorrow. til then, any thots?

Lmao. 23 hits & not so much as a peep of what to do or suggestion if patting my head & rubbing my belly! The answer was that the drive cup gear (there's 2 of them, you have to remove them to slide the pin out) opposite of the ring gear wasn't seated all the way. I guess the o-ring had something to do w/it. So what I did was I pushed down on the gear & turned it w/the other hand at the cup. That seated the o-ring & the gear. Now everything works proper. You's guys are hilarious.

At least they got back to you. I think they would sell alot of em too. I know they have one for go karts that might work but it seems hella long though

Yeh. It is. It'd have to be coiled & cut right in front of that part. I'm a wait til I hear back & then talk to them bout that long part. I will go this route tho just bc I was impressed w/what it did on my atv's.

I know I've used em on my car so I know they work too but I'm happy with my msd wire but if they make a wire for us if like to try it out though

Sounds good. Itd be nice to have other options other then either stock or msd, although on my msd the wire says taylor but the boot says msd. hmmmm either way it's a nice wire but if the nology was an option I would have gotten that

If there is another option besides iridium we'd be good. What makes iridium good is that it lasts but is least conductive. I put a briskracing.com plug in my atv w/the nology wire. I liked it. Basically it's a Lamborghini plug. It was a silver plug which is very conductive but won't last as long as iridium. I mean, who's gonna put 100,000 miles on an atv much less than a rc?

Here's a link you might like, it has good reading in it: http://forum.highlifter.com/Here-is-the-plug-info-you-wanted-Dregg-about-the-Spark-Plugs-m4326185.aspx

I keep popping my Ackerman out. It keeps popping out passenger side. I'm not hitting anything. I'm thinking it's a gear catching since the rear locked up so I'm gonna open the planetary case as it's suspect.

i'm thinking (& hoping lol) that it was the same thing as the rear. the gear didn't feel fully seated when i checked it. when it'd catch it didn't lock up. it'd catch then give. since the gear was close to being seated but not seated fully i feel that gear was my issue & was what kept popping my ackerman out. we'll see. supposed to bash w/my son today. hoping to warm the cars up & then make a sort of track w/a ramp & race. we've been talking a lil smack to each other for fun. i have an awesome lil man (10 years old, 5'7"). he helped a good bit & i got to show him how to use a tool made for one job can be used to get out stripped bolts (torx in this case for stripped hex bolts). i will report back if this fixed my ackerman issue either way & hope to have some vid today. it looks like it may rain so...
