Got me self a Race runner sport and was wondering if the extra travel shocks are worth the money and do they do just the front or can you get rear ones?
Cheers Matt.

I've got two sets of long and one set of short, but I use them on a rally so I'm not too sure.If you are using them on the rear you will have to get extended towers.Your best talking to Zouse.

Hi Voo, I was going to have a go at making some shock ali towers and wing bars for a bit of pimp. Just wondering if it was worth all the effort.

If your that way inclined go for it! Roofchopper makes all sorts of stuff and it looks good, have a go and put some pics up.Or go to Rossendales shop on ebay ,they have a variety of MCD stuff all the time at decent prices.
Good luck.

Matt, they are so worth it.. Definitely make them yourself if you can. If you need the measurements, i could see about getting them for you by this evening.

The front is all you really need, as the back is already high.

Hi Chris, Measurements would be great.
Thickness of aluminium:
Distance between top shock mounts:
Distance between new and old top mounts:
Total length of new longer shocks:

Do you have to use MCD shocks or can I modify longer FG shocks?
Cheers Matt.

Hi Matt, i'll have those measures for you by tomorrow. I don't know about the using the FG shocks, i don't have a pair to try.

Cheers,

Chris

Checked the shocks off a FG and the threads are the same as the Evo's at the base of the shaft so they should fit.
How long are the long fronts, are they the same as standard rears?
Matt.

Cheers Chris, Doesn't the oil leak out then? Do you use R/C oil or is there a automotive oil I can use?
I was thinking of putting grease nipples on the housings to pump grease in.
Matt.

I would use special weight shock oil. If they leak, then you might have a busted O-ring. definitely don't use grease as it is way too thick.

I run 40wt in the front and 20wt in the back. I've tried a few other weights but that is the combo that works the best for me.
