My 23cc baja is now a 28.5cc thanks to a 36mm pistion and cyl kit from ddm. It is race ported from them, and now I want to change the crank to a stuffed crank. Question is do I / can increas the crank to a + 1mm or +2mm stroker? Is stacking gaskets to get proper clearence good or just trouble. I mostly bash and run in the sand hills so torque is better than high rpm I think. Thanks for the input.

if you need torque then use the 2mm for 30.5cc.i have the same head, just not ported, ive bashed with lads with 29.5cc, hardly any difference when out bashing! stacking gaskets is the fast easy way,the other way to get correct squish clearance is to machine the cylinder.

Stacking gaskets is not the best way to go. Just ask the top motor builders. Much better to buy a cylinder or kit that is machined for the stroke. If you want to run the cylinder you have with a stroker crank you will have to stack gaskets and check the squish. Squish should be checked on every rebuild particularity when using a new cylinder. I built a race ported 30.5 OBR kit.
