I would like to modify my MT to look similar to this one. If anyone could tell me what I will need and were I can find the parts it will be greatly appreciated.

You just need to find a desert rat body you like. Add some wheels with adapters and you've got the look. Most run taller gears with the smaller wheels.

I just got a message today from DDM. They will have the 2 piece Grafil bodies in soon. Grafil has pics on here to check out.
 
Either would work with the hpi adapters. The first one are a better deal. The second link from rovan RC are clones of the prolines. The MT is a heavy rig. I think I would stick with the prolines. I do not have a feel for the clone wheels & tires.
 
I would buy the Hostile nightmares, You wont find a better quality tire out there. They may cost you a little bit, but in the long run it will pay off!
 
Proline makes a great wheel. You want two sets of rears for the MT. The Desert Rat body will fit. You might have to mess with the body mounts a bit. I have no clue if the Trofeo body will fit.

yea proline wheels are great...i suggest u get all rear wheels cuz there wider and with the 4wd ur better of keepin front and rears the same size from my experience....and that desert rat body will fit....i don't remember but u may need the wing mount from the dune runner to really have good support for the rear of the body but i cant swear to that
 
+1 only run rears all the way around. You can make any 5th scale body work since they are all bigger than stock. The bodies designed for hpi will all be on the big side. You can trim the wheel well openings to center the wheel.
 
You have lots of optione just depends on your budget.

For starters:

A good pipe.

Replacing the huge MT tires with smaller ones gets rid of a lot of rotating mass.

Higher rpm clutch

A new top end kit for the stock motor, or a whole new motor.

Demons 2 speed when it comes out.

If you stick with the stock motor the upgrade the carb. This will help loads in getting her dialed in.
 
There are several good ones out there. You want to make sure it uses a four bolt head. Less chance of gasket problems. It also depends how extreme you want to go, and again your budget. You should plan on spending 3 to 5+ hundred on a complete motor. The OBR 7hp is about the best you can do. You will not want to run the stock mt tires unless you like to replace drive train parts. Lol IMO start with a good pipe get and with the motor tuned it should have good power. With a gearing change and smaller wheels, you will see better performance. The mt wheels are heavy. When Demons two speed comes out that will also make a huge difference.
 
My upgrades are on the way. Just need new servos and carb. Looking for recommendations for both. What will be the best ones?
 
Can anyone tell me wear I can purchase bodies that fit the MT. I'm looking for something other than the normal truck body.
