I'm looking at the 26cc Rovan and the 30.5cc 2 speed Rovan. I would asssume the 30.5 would be alot faster on the top end with the 2 speed. If the motors aren't that reliable, I could get the 26cc and save 200 bucks and put that toward a new motor when needed. But then I would lose the two speed. Decision, Decisions!

All those aluminum parts may look good but after a few good hard hits they are gonna bend and need replacing. I prefer the mostly plastic ones myself. Plastic will bend and take a hit and not transfer all that energy to other parts like aluminum would. And if you break a plastic arm you can put a rpm arm on it (that's cheap) and never have to worry about it again....

well not entirely true. i put alot of alloy on mine, BUT, i left the front and rear bumper stuff all plastic, THATS where most of impacts will be and if left plastic THEY will absorb most of it. stock rollcage is still plastic too. you CANT go total alloy or your right, bend city, but if front and rear and cage is left stock, it will do the job. oh and yah leave the arms plastic too, i did.

I wasn't trying to be a know it all. I just know from experience with SEVERAL all aluminum TMAXX and SAVAGE builds I have done that an all aluminum vehicle looks good but isn't the best for bashing. If you bash lightly or just show it then yes, but if you run it and run it hard most will regret going all aluminum. I spent over 5k on three monster trucks one time going all aluminum........ :-)
