I am looking for a storage case to keep my MT in. I live in an apartment and my wife doesn't want our house to smell like gas, or leak on the floor. I have looked everywhere none of the Rubbermaid containers are big enough. All I have found is a pelican case for $275 which is more than I planned on spending, it is a nice case though http://pelican.com/cases_detail.php?Case=1690 thanks for any input

Count- that's true I didn't think about that

Rampage- pretty sure they don't, all the ones I can find are long enough just not wide enough

^^^Lol.

You could pull the wheels off to store it. I'm pretty sure it will fit with no wheels.

Use the carton it came in and use contact paper of the wifes chooseing to cover the plain looking carton. Use freezbre to get rid of the gas smell.

are you abale to get hold of or order a nice poly box? (polystyrene packaging box with a lid) i got a few from here http://www.jbpackaging.co.uk/ there not to costly, come in all shapes n sizes and im sure there are plenty of companys in the usa that sell them

we use them at work to send tested foods and products all around the world, somtimes packed with ice.

there pritty dam strong, and will keep the smells in

Here's what I do.

Block off the pipe with one of these vinyl caps.

RVC_single1.webp

AutoZone sells them. They're in the Help section.

Then I stuff the fuel tank with a rag. This helps absorb any remaining fuel and helps contain the smell. After that, I wrap the air filter in a plastic bag and keep it tight with a rubber band. It still smells a little, but it doesn't punch you in the face.

These are great ideas. Thanks

Hey you could try gettin ahold of mike McCoy of trm pyro on line he has a good selection of seahorse cases similar to the pelican but a lot better prices. I'm not sure if he has anything big enough but worth a try.

Terra- that's a dangerous idea! I don't know if you know this but if you mix gasoline and polystyrene you get napalm.
i didnt know that

could always line teh box with a plastic spray

or just make sure ur car isnt dripping fuel everywere.

you can always get a fuel addative and make ur car smell like bubblegum :p or many other flavours
