Anyboby gets bored, you are welcome to help dig up a few tree stumps, hell, i will even feed you. you will need the energy. last one i dug up, had roots to China. I will teach even the white collar folks how to do this- how to run a #2 spade, razor sharp ax, 6 foot solid steel rod, 15 foot 4x4 pry log, After you dig them up- you can listen to me go-- grrrr- as i toss these big guys into the back of the truck- oh- i have a assortment of needles- you can use these to pop your blisters- - - - after a few days of this- you will be able to lift your 1/5 scale car with your little finger- show off to the girls how strong your hands are- eventually, you could have Popeye forearms like Alfred does-- lol!

its really easy digging, moist dirt, very few rocks. Now, in the desert southwest, i cannot spell it correctly- its called coleshi- natural rotten concrete. this is where sparks fly off the shovels and steel rods- that is a tough row to hoe- but the pay is good cause not many are willing to tackle the stufff- tru man-wel labor! lol! In Ajo, southwest gas buries the lines real shallow. this keeps a guy alert!

"Caliche" Yep lots of the stuff here in the Phx. area. Lost of granite as well, especially when you get close to the mountains. So much of both on my property we had to use small jack hammers just to trench in the sprinkler system.

I have caliche all over my front yard. I cna only dig 3 inches then I have to soak the ground for 5 hours. Another 3 inches, then soak again. Not fun.

Yea, down in Ajo, we were asked to install a cyclone fence around this guys place that kept horses. after 2 solid hours of the pick ax to dig 2 holes, we went to buckeye and bought a jackhammer. Put in a carwash at Holts gas station in Ajo. Blueprints called for 2.50 foot O.D. -30 ft long sana tubes. about 8 if memory is correct- they gave us 1/4 " in 100 ft. Mr. jack hammer earned his keep on that job! - We kept thinking- 1/4" leeway in 100 ft? - this is a darned carwash, not a highrise--Turns out, the blueprints had to meet U.N. standards. thats not a typo- u.n. It made the hair on my neck stand up to read this.- sorta creepy. AZ is a really cool state that has its act together. Quite certan people there caught wind of this and put the rollers underneath the U.N. getting there hooks into local goverment- Say Cordy?, we tried getting the wine-os to work- The ones that spent some time in the Phoenix clink just wanted to whine about having to live outside in tents with a box fan for climate control- while across the street- the dog pound had wall to wall A.C. units for the dogs comfort. - lol!- Told em- you should see the conditions our military endures in the middle east dude- Phoenix jail is a gravy train compaired to a desert war zone- just saying--.

can you not just blow them out the ground then tow the stump away? :D
We used to do that over north of Seattle- Monster old cedar stumps- If the powder monkey gets a little over wild - and there is not quite enough dirt covering the stump-- were are talking about cedar stumps about 10-12+ across here-- Hell, one time they attempted to get rid of a dead whale on the high tide line this way- not enough sand- wayy- too much powder, and the thing was rotten too- it was supposed to blow back into the water- not in a 360 degree circle!
