Whats up guys looking to by something new to add to the family. I have a Redcat TT but its time for one more before I get a rc gas boat. I'm looking at the MCD Cheetah, HPI Baja 5b, or the new HPI truck that is comeing out. Can you guys help? What's the good and bad about the two thats out and then i can wait and compare the winner when the HPI truck comes out.

One bonus you have is time then!!!
If you're interested in 'the new HPI truck that's coming out', you know as much about it as anyone else does outside of HPI - i.e. NOTHING!!

The extra time will help you focus on what you're really looking for, and why?
Realistic is one thing, but do you have easy access to areas you can run 'your choice' on? (especially if you may consider an on-road - very limited without raiding car parks!!)

I have a lot of room in my yard to run my buggy right now and yes I have time. I just want to know some of the good and the bad of the two thats out right now then I can compare it to the new Hpi.
Has any one compared the baja 5b and the Mcd cheetah!

i love the look of the mcd cheetah!, the hpi baja seems to be more popular, they are everywhere .what have you got in the 'family' already? ive never had any experience with the cheetah, but i would have one over the hpi baja, mcds look well put together.

I have a 5b SS and like it. Keep in mind the 5b is only two wheel drive and the Cheetah is 4 wheel drive. All so the HPI coming out in the nest 6 months to a year is a 1/8 scale gasser.

OK on the HPI 5b or 5SC have some of the most after market support in the industry. HPI customer service is second to none! Been running HPI vehicles for well over 10 years so I know about the customer service first hand. Parts for the HPI are readily available and easy to get.

My first and only large scale to this point is my 5B SS. Now the down side. To make the 5b SS really durable you have to use some of the after market up grades available. They have made improvements like on the latest truck version the 5 SC they have beefed up the dog bones and drive cups. I am guessing will not be long before they are included on the 5b.

I really want a MCD RR V4 competition as I am a buggy person but have a few concerns. The main concerns I have is support and parts availability in the US as well as the price of replacement parts. Some it will have to do where you live.

if you have the red cat, but want 4wd,then cheetah it is, the race runner and mcd rally are great 4wd cars too!also fg baja 4wd, i think theres a fs buggy(mcd clone)which is also 4wd and the ftx punisher/destroyer.
