A Xt or Mt in the future, was wondering if there pretty good and whats the def between the 2 and im confused about the MT v3 and v4, whats there def.

Also im looking for a place to order from that has the bill me later option like ebay and towerhobbie. towerhobbie don't seem to carry them and don't have that option on 1/5 scale anyways and ebay can be pricey. anyone have any advice on good places to order from?

thanks in advance

the MT is much beefier than the XT. The XT is lighter and faster, but the MT is the beast of all beasts... so they each have their "strong points".

As far as buying now and paying later, I am not able to help you there. My advice would be to save your pennies and pay for it up front. Besides the cost of the truck, you will want to buy a kill switch for it (another 60 bucks) just to make sure it does not run away. There is nothing like the fear of watching your new prize posession running down the road and you standing there helpless with the controller in your hand. 5th scale is expensive and if you are starting out "behind" on the cash, you may never catch up :D

Great advice Joe.

The newest MT is still called a V3 by Redcat. There has been some minor changes that's why some may call the newest version a V4 or even a V5. Redcat makes improvements as they see necessary.

The MT is way tougher and more durable out of the box than the XT. The XT is a little lighter (more plastic) with smaller tires so its a little quicker.

5th scale does require a big wallet. Once you get one you will want all the upgrades. Not trying to scare you, just want you to understand. Most of us will eventually spend 1 to 3 times the cost of the car on upgrades. The same applies to all the 5th scales.

awesome thanks for the advice, hop ups wont be a issue, prolly like building and upgrading a PC over time, buy a part here and there, wont be too bad im guessing, but when all is done its prolly worth alot because all the money invested in the long run.

does anyone know the best place to get deals on the MT v4? i seen there is a site called largescalerc dot com that sells the version 4 for around 700USD, is that a good deal?

Also I heard that paypal had a bill me later option, not sure if thats true. can anyone confirme?

RC Dad, I saw the MT advertised for 5 bucks... can I get it for $4? ha ha ha

Konquerer, RC Dad has my vote, I have bought 2 vehicles and tons of parts from him and his customer service is unbeatable.

Keep an open mind and an open wallet. Don't listen to haters and enjoy the CAT. My wife tells me that I'm not happy unless I'm wrenching on my cars whether they need repair or not.

ya working on them is fun what sucks is the wating time on parts to get shipped like me in canada for some reason the parts are twice the amount then the usa abd i have to wate 1 to 3 weeks for any part and most the time the shipping is more then the part
