well mine started off as a rubbies supreme, over 2 years i replaced everything with aftermarket vendor made stuff. i got bout 5 grand in my Vader, and 700 in my Stormtrooper. both are registered in the 501st legion.

i got parts from here and there, different reputeable vendors. Lucas Alverez a member in 50st made the cape, robe, cod, and bodysuit, all but cod were custom made to fit me, via measurements sent in to him by me.

shins, buckle come from another vendor, i made my own belt, and belt boxes.
boxes are from radio shack, a friend told me what electronic stuff to order and how to wire it, special circuts i had to make up for each led in each box, all tied to a single 9 volt battery in each box. will last for 3 days life.

the chestbox frame is from portumac, and i assembled, painted and wired up the circut board i got off him. it has the extra leds for rocker switch that is lit in ROTS version.

my shoulder armor is from portumac too, i designed a bell mount system that to this day is used for ROTS style armor. the armor is FG. padded underneath to raise it slightly for ROTS neck on mask.

gloves were made from a vendor i know that i got the correct glove stitch pattern from movie and sent him, he made the gloves, and gave me a discount for getting the right pattern to him. oh and the bodysuit, gloves and cod are REAL leather, not pleather.

the lid, is a MR ROTS FG signature edition lid. 732 bucks right there. it has a fan in the lower grill pulling air inward to my face.
lid weighs 13 pounds too. dome is held on by earth magnet.

i have a 500 dollar hyperdyne voice system that i can free speech whatever i want, and i sound like the man himself, james earl jones.

from 20 feet away look at this guys expression when he heard me speak

what he was startled at is what i said;"Commander, tear this building apart until youve found those Jedi, and bring me the civillians, i WANT THEM ALIVE!!!!"
my lightsaber is a real heiland synchronar flash handle, very similar to british mpp. minor diffs in the two. it has a ultrasound board in it, red luxeon led thats, 180 lumens bright:

broad daylight and its bright, and the sound is amped up by creating a echo chamber in the end, 10 times louder than a MR force FX, it makes folks actually JUMP, when i fire it off. they aint expecting that loud a saber.

my jedi saber for my Jedi costume is a 190 lumen green luxeon

so you can see if you want a quality costume, one that will make 501st standards for entry, its gotta look like you walked off the movie set, and now my Vader does, and my stormtrooper aint bad either
IMG_0854.webp

specially retrofitted toy hasbro blaster. has red luxeon in barrel special made circut board to fire it wired into stock board, a recharge pack in rear of barrel, with a recharge port for charging. and a doopydoos skins kit to make it look more realistic, and painted.

oh and btw, im 6' 2" tall and in Vader costume i stand 6' 7" tall no lifts, its the dome that adds the height. truely impressive as scary as this kid shows

and heres my jedi:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVNbiibjmvY&playnext=1&list=PL25814691A40FB812"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVNbiibjmvY&playnext=1&list=PL25814691A40FB812[/ame] my friend just after he got his, hes better now with practise.

forgot to say, my trooper also has a voice system, it actually has speakers in the mike tips in front, it does the audible clicks too, and sounds just like tropper communications sounded in movie, and again, i can say what i want to,

thanks i really appreciate the comments. seeing as how some parts of the Vader costume are built from scratch by myself, and some are kits i had to assemble paint and install electrics to, im very happy with it. those aboce shots arent even with the new cape and robe set, in those pics im still using the rubbies cape and robe. this is one i have but not closeup of the new LA cape and robe:

IMG_0689.webp

the cape is lined with satin on inside, as you can see, it really made the whole suit look ten times better in appearances.

that shot was taken at THE POTTERY BARN for kids grand opening, the local fan force guys i hook up with alot and my garrison leader, were all in costume, hes the trooper on my left. hidden by a worker.

we signed autograp[hs that day to raise mony for st. judes childrens hospitals. us alone made like 3500 that day for the charity. i signed mine as LORD VADER outta respect for the man himself David Prowse who wore the costume in the movies.

im happy you guys thot enough of this to move it. thank you. i know we got quite a bit off tangent from the topic being discussed in that thread. and kinda wondered myself how long it would stay.

thats cool. in Oklahoma, where im at, im the only registered 501st Vader. so i get called upon alot, now that im fired from job, and workin at home online helping wife with business, i may have time for more ventures to events.

i think so, like me, in that pic where the jedi guy i know heard me for the first time say to a fellow fan force member: Commander tear this building apart until youve found the Jedi, and bring me the civillians, i want them ALIVE!!!
