Have you checked your high and low needle settings?
Also there seems to be a issue with the stock air filter. There's a thread about it the issue if you haven't seen it.

Anyone know how a clutch could go so fast? Only ran the thing maybe 3-4 times.

Lining still on shoes. Has a glazed look to it though.

Try ruffing up the shoes with a piece of sandpaper if the shoes are still intact, and give it a try. The clutch shouldn't really be effected much when it is glazed a little that is kinda normal, from the heat but just to be sure you can try this.:lol::lol::lol:

You may have a weak spring, letting the shoe drag, pretty easy to swap em'.

wouldn't a weak spring engage the clutch too early.
Is the vehicle moving at all? Be it slow or is it completely not moving?

oops. re-read your post. it is moving. check the gear mesh? or maybe bad clutch bearing.

After replacing the clutch sent to me by Losi and the same problem occurring it was discovered that the actual problem was a set on the rear drive shaft. Well at least is now have a spare clutch and housing and now know how to remove the engine.

That's cool that it was an easy fix, hey I'm working on a design for a protector for that truck, I'm not going to go buy one to design it, lol can you give me a hand? Hell we can all have input we can call it the LSF Basher for the DBXL lol, I had some questions about the rear arm, is it just like the arm on the 5ive? I Think my stock protector may be close with some tweeks. DBXL if I send you a set of protectors with no holes drilled, well the carrier bolt must be the same right, You know I'll can get a good look on TGN they have the exploded views, anyway will you try out a set? Take some pics for me, how new are you? Do you have a 5ive? Let me know if you can't do it I'll post up in the DBXL thread
