Hey I have the losi dbxl v 1.0 gas and I want upgrade the engine I bought the upgrade kit from 23cc to 29cc but the ignition coil keeps digging in the flywheel or I can’t get the spacing right so I just want to replace the entire engine with the 29cc engine but what one would I have to get for it to fit the dbxl 1.0 gas chassis. Where bolts all line up

I’m a 30degree owner so far, so I will steer you to a zenoah g320. They seem to be tried and true. I love my 38cc 30degree now that I have some experience with it. It gave me some trouble as a beginner. Zenoahs are at least very well built and trustworthy, the Chinese clone stuff can be hit or miss.
I think you better do some searching for some build threads here to verify what can fit, but I’m positive a 320 would fit. Check out DDM racing

Great advice thank you now here’s another question for you sir if I do the 38cc that will fit on my losi dbxl 1.0 gas chassis and if yes is there anything I would need to upgrade as far as differentials like aluminum instead of the stock plastic, servos anything I would have to change due to the increase in torque

one more thing would you recommend putting on an automatic start instead of pull start¿ I do like this idea better then a pull start

For the $300 price tag, I would go zenoah if I was to begin anew. They seem to rev up quicker or something when I watch videos. Plus they can be modded to a 34cc with some top end kits. It’s a quality built engine that won’t have leaky seals brand new. Check out my build thread on my 30 degree truck. I struggled for a good minute due to poor quality and no experience. Cut one of those variables out for your benefit.
I have one 5th scale rig, so I am still new to this game. I am trying to help the rest that come in to have an easier path than I did.
If you get an easy start like I have, there’s no need for an auto start or roto start.
Mine starts with 2 pulls everytime, as long as I don’t flood it! 😆
