went to my local hobby shop but for £600-800 i could get a new mcd or fg baja but i would have ended up spending a fortune in upgrading it. this is pretty much done now lol! cheap way into racing compared to the others for something thats all done :)

been to my local track today to have a look and see what its like.
its reasonably large with the main straight being around 70 meters long with alot of tight corners and some medium bumps (its a peate based soil) it was also very muddy, with the odd section of astro turf on it.

thinking about lowering the gear ratio a little for some faster acceleration and more torque earlyer in the rpm band so i have a little edge going out of the corners (most are banked) will set the steering angle out to get as much full lock as possiable as a fair few of the corners are pretty tight.

should be racing it next weekend hopefully :) will get piccys hehe

You should test on the track before you make any changes and have a chat to fellow racers about gears....

Love to have a track near me....
