Still looking at the pace of my monster and wonderin whats going on.
Ok its all allloy but has a 29cc big bore kit. And a DDM Mid High Pipe. I have tuned the engine with the carb again and again, but the truck seems to rev like mad when i hit the thottle and not make fast acceleration. Its like the clutch doesn't bite fast. But i fitted brand new clutch also to try and help this. No difference even with red 8000rpm spring. Its not all wheel spin either. Almost seems as if diff is over reacting loosing traction.
I am comparing this to my completely standard 26cc Marder race which is so much more nippy (faster steadier acceleration) with power all the way through.
Brakes are dragging a little off the line but when throttle opened up brakes are off and fine. All wheel sqaures checked and gear checked. Nothing slipping there. Could it be something in my diff playing up. Its all alloy diff but had some use now. I noticed the outdrive cups have room to move when they are in diff, bearings possibly warn or brass bushings. When i lift truck and turn wheels though one wheel goes opposite to other just as they should.
Please help. Its doing my head in again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could it be lack of grease in diff, cant imagine it would make all that difference would it???

Simple question: !!!
When you rev it, what moves, and what doesn't?
Is the clutch bell moving?
Is the whole geartrain moving - Spur to Pinion, and inside?
Are the driveshafts turning?

Normally it's a stuffed clutch, simply not gripping the clutch bell, or the wheel squares loose on the driveshafts.

If you have balldrives and a lot of slack, your balls might have shrunk!!! :D:D:D(actually worn down ... !!!)

did you install the clutch? if so check and see if you tightened the clutch bolts too tight. if you did it may not be letting the clutch fully engage.

Check your wheel squares, clutch shoes, mesh between the layshaft pinion and diff ring.Nine times out of ten it'll be knackered wheel squares.
Good luck ,tell us how you got on.
