I"m new to 1/5 scale and still waiting for my XT to get here. Ordered it today. Went to Jetpro site and they sell pipe silencer:eek: I don't get it, why would you install a silencer? Doesn't that take the fun out of driving a 5th scale? Wish I could buy one for my girlfriend though. wonder if Dino would make one for me? Neighbors? who cares, they already hate me anyway coz' of my crotch rocket (Honda CBR1000 Repsol) :D this puppy is annoyingly loud. So, since most of you guys are pros with the Rampages, in particular, XT. My question is, what is the best and loudest pipe can I get for my XT? I thought I'd get a headstart and buy one while waiting for my ride. Some said DDM? while others Jetpro. I'll keep reading all your replies and count votes for both. The highest count wins! Thanks guys:)

I run a Jetpro side mount on my MT with a 30cc motor and it's loud.


Also, I'm glad you don't live next to me :)


Your neighbours might be able to call bylaw on you if you're breaking decibel levels, but don't tell them that ;)

Nah, they're cool. They put up with me and I don't abuse them either. I only do it when I get the urge and when almost everyone is out or just hanging out so it's all good. Thanks for the info, I'm leaning towards jetpro and Dino's gonna throw in some heat wrap too. Cool guy!

If your new to 5th scale then you haven't had the wonderful priveledge of being kicked out of a place by the local PD. A silencer comes in handy here and there.


Where we run the local police come by to hang out and watch the cars. That is rare.

Really?! cool cops. where I live, cops don't have any sense of humor. And when they're haulin ass on their cruisers....chill, there's no accident or a crime just happened, it just means there's a doughnut sale at our local bakery shop :)
 
Im sure I will try one soon Im just getting started with 5th :) My boat has Zenoah Racing engine And Huge Tuned Pipe. I want my truck to sound the same. But its a wet pipe ! and IT IS LOUD !!! LOL

thanks. I'm convinced. but which one?Got email from Dino and he said they both will give the same power and it's just a personal preference. which one do you have or would pick? hard to decide when you're just looking at pics. Thanks
