not sure what this simptom is. put a new 28.5 on and was running it in. had it set rich on the high side, after the first tank i leaned it out a little but then it got a "dead" spot right off the line. as soon as you would punch it, the rpms would stumble and just as quick would lounch out of the hole. i tryed richining and leaning the low end but it was the same. plug looked like it was rich.. any hints?
 
sounds like too much fuel ..loaded up..did you reset you idle up a smiggen..what carb you using?A nice carb for the head kit
would be a 771...Slawhammer
PS Yeah I got thinking on this..your starving for fuel...need to richen up a tad...

What gearing are you running?

It to soulds to me like lean low end needle, what are the temp's?

You should richen it up a bit both low and high to compensate for the larger displacement.

Low end and high end needles do inetract, you have to adjust thhem bouth

if you run at stock wt 603 carb it may not delivere enough fuel anyway.

get a wt771 carb.

Make sure you are tuning the low end first. Then tune the high end last. Not following those steps will effect the outcome with a lean situation.:no:

I always tune the H first by plug color then adjust L for acceleration this way is doesn't affect the H setting. if you do it the other way round you have to reset the L again after tuning the H...L is only to 1/3 throttle while H is throughout the whole throttle range

zenoah and fg tell you to do it this way as well
