Ok sorry if I offended any one.
What I see is the design could be better if the plastic in this area is thicker. Or the mounting point is moved with in the arms like most other cares.

Hi there

Design is not bad but you have to set the limiting screws to prevent the arm from pulling the shock out .

Instructions on the mcd s is a different story . Could be better.

^^Thanks looker^^, I have been out with it and beat the tar out of it and it was perfect. No further issues.

No problem Clubin. I think it's awesome you are having a good time with it & not having issues !! It's all about the fun & keeping them going :cool2:

hi has anyone got the part numbers for the setscrews i need for the wishbones to stop the over extending? cant find them in rossendale models
thanks

All EVO3 models come with the screws already installed. Did you lose one ? You can see this screw on the inner part of the arm on the chassis side. This picture shows it nearly center of the picture. These screws also come pre-set from the factory, so unless you have changed your suspension they should be good. Always good to check though.

hi , yeh thats what i thought, but mine did not come with any installed, i also do not see that metal brace one the front hinpin holder on mine either. bit strange really.

The brace is a new addition only out a couple months or so. Very strange yours did not come with the limiter screws. I would take a lower arm to a hardware store & find a setscrew that will screw in snug & has enough length to go through the arm to hit the chassis. Then set the suspension so the limiter screw catches the suspension before the shock bottoms out. The EVO3 models are still new & I don't know that you will find these in an MCD package as of yet.

yeh, i think i must of had one of a early batch, these things are awesome when setup rite tho, nothing touches them, makes my old fg marder look like a tractor

Just to let you know my EVO III sport plus DIDN'T come with the droop adjustment screws and nor did my mates, we both have suffered lower arm breakages due to this!

There is NO information in the manual either about fitting droop adjustment screws.

Maybe it's just the ones we get here in the U.S. ? All EVO3 models we have recieved here at Largescalerc have had them. I would look for some screws that fit & allow for the adjustment. This should eliminate all your arm problems.

Any idea how to stop this happening?

This happened after I rolled the race runner once! the turnbuckle has pulled right out the upper arm.

To be honest, I really don't. I've never seen that happen to any MCD. Ususlly the end rose joint would break before this would happen. The one solution I think that would work, is to go to the alloy upper arms. I would say that the flip you had was very violent, or un-usual in some way. I posted this video close to the begining of this thread, but take a look at it. This is the very first EVO3 we recieved here in the U.S.. It had been ran many times before this & has been ran many times since, with no issues what so ever. I would just replace the arm with stock & give it another try.

Video look best in High quality. ( option under number of views )
