Okay, Ive pretty much decided on the SS, but just want to see what you guys think about the constant 5t / ss questions.

As I see it . ..
SS = Cheaper
Comes as a kit (I like!)
BUT no radio gear, and apparently doesn't handle quite as nice as the 5t.

On the other hand . .. the 5t

From what Ive read over the last couple of months, I noticed that various people complained about the 5t building quality. Empty diff's, leaking shocks, over / undertightened bolts etc etc. (Which IMO, is pretty lame, anyway . .. )

The radio gear that comes with the 5t seems to be only enough for HPI to call it RTR. The dealer Im gonna buy from says, and I quote. . . "the 5t radio is crap and i would never run a 1200 dollar car on a ten dollar radio, to much can go wrong, wether you buy from us or not i would invest into a radio that runs at 2.4ghz . .blah blah blah should by a 5t, i would tighten the top caps of the shock as i have seen them leak there right out of the box"

How bad is the Radio that comes with the 5t? Ive heard more than 5 people complaining... . .?

Ive also seen too many 5t bodies cracked / broken from roll overs.

Having said all that, the 5t goes for $1249, and the SS goes for $1119.95, inlcuding the Airtronics m11, and he's willing to throw in the extra servo as well!!

Anyway.
I actually decided on the SS already. . . .. . im just damn itchy!!!!

I like my 5B SS and the deciding factors on which to get are the T only comes in RTR so you are paying for a cheap RTR radio that I was not even going to use. The price difference and a clear replacement body for the T is around $175.

What every you get make sure you get a remote kill switch before ever running!!!!!!!!

It is cheaper to get a 5T then make your SS into one.

The RTR radio and servos are crap. Most private labeled or worse. Changing the radio and servos is the 2nd upgrade. The 1st is getting a kill switch.
The SS steering servo is a good servo but not the best for the steering radius of a Baja.

Again, if your thinking of a 5T it is cheaper to go back and make it a SS then make an SS into a 5T.
