whats the best upgrade i can do to get my brakes to work better and slow my car down quicker , at the moment its working off the rear lay shart on one disc brake , im getter a better servo , but what else can i do to help slow it quicker ?

Get the layshaft tuning brake for £30 from Rossendale Models (other places sell them but more expensive!) - FG part no 8449. Its a vented steel disc & fibre pads rather than the standard set up of solid fibre disc & steel pads. I have this fitted to both mine & it works well - will lock the back wheels on any surface. I have tried front cables (FG tuning brakes with the bigger discs) but not keen TBH. I find them problematic with constant adjustment needed to keep them braking evenly and not pulling to 1 side or the other. Some find they work well though so don't be put off them based on my opinion :w00t:

Upgrade your radio tray or put extra alloy posts in to stop flex, cheap upgrade and works well.

Front hydros are the best in combo with your standard rear laysharft brake.
Get some second hand ones of the bay.

I had this set up on my FG MT and it used to stop on a dime.

Brad.

Good point on the extra post. It makes sure all the servo movement is transferred into braking action & no need for a heavier ally tray at extra cost!!

Here is mine - M6x50 c/sk screw fits perfect :D

layshaft tuning brake would the cheapest and easiest way to stop it a bit better but if you got the funds get yourself a decent servo and the the tuning cable brakes, ive got some on the front of my 4wd baja and they are magic
