Hey everyone.

a couple months ago i decided to build a marder.
Already had a FG MT, with plenty spares, so building the marder wouldnt be that difficult as most of the parts were there! only missing a shell now! if you have 2 available no need to be new or excelent but as long as they are good, ill have them, gime a shout!

yesterday took both cars out nad decided to convert the MT to another marder. this came up because i have gone through 3 pairs of steering uprights, as the bottom screw of the whishbone keeps jumping out on bumps and rough landings it is pretty heavy, as i reinforced the inside of the mt shell with fiberglass and that is the reason i believe that is causing it!

started taking it appart yesterday night, there will be all the MT parts coming available on ebay soon, if you want them, get in touch. all the common parts obviously i will keep them.

got a little problem though, the screws i used on the engine mount, are not of that good quality, realised it now that im trying to get it all off for a proper clean. i used blue locktite. any advise on how to get them off, before i chew the heads?!
this "new" build will use all standart parts, the budget doesn't allow for more this time. so it will not be anything you guys haven't seen yet, so pictures will be kinda pointless, but if you guys want, ill happilly get them.

i need a little help for some parts, if you happen to have any layshaft disk breakes you don't need or you can spare, ill have them 2!:o

thanks

Carlos Carlos

I assume your engine mounts are the ally ones for the screws to be that tight. This being the case a little bit of heat on the bolt will soften the loctite and ease undoing them.

Hey Wes,

thanks for the hint, will try and get a "torch" to get them out during the weekend...to windy and cold here now to be in the garage!:(
hopefully ill get it done!

Thanks
