Marder Custom cage

A friend of mine is in the process of building me a cage for my marder made from 10mm alli bar aviation grade it is so lite! Not finished yet but a working progress!


All the welds are just tacked at the minute

Update! Cage finished just need to make some panels stuck on a colour!?

Looks a nice job.
Is it bracing the chassis as well, or just protecting the top?

It's bolted to the front bulk head and down the sides where the rails would normally bolt to so it will give a bit more stiffness to the chassis hopefully!

if only alloy bar was used, then i don't think it will last to long

I don't see why not mate, it's made from 6061-t6 ally bar, primed and sprayed with apache paint,
