Hi all,
Right Renbar has squared me away with a G230 motor for my marder as my beloved g2d finally give up the go! Soon discovered small engine mount is slightly different, I assumed that the standard g230/g260 small engine mount would fit straight in, but what's thrown me slightly is on hobbythek there is a mount that specifies when converting from g2d to g230 you must use this other type of mount? If anyone could shed any light on this it would be much appreciated!
Regards

Right all sorted! After looking at various chassis, my original chassis was only designed to mount the g2d which if I was still using it I would need this special conversion mount that is on hobbythek, however I changed my chassis last year and this is the newer marder chassis which has holes drilled for g2d mounts and holes drilled for g230 mounts aswel, so I can use a standard g230 engine mount!

dam I never thought of that mate but it clicked as soon as I read this thread I meant to dig you out a pull start to go with the engine as well you know where I am now if you need it

Cheers mate already ordered one with metal pawl, yeah the engine mount thing through me a little at first but when comparing my chassis I noticed the difference in screw holes the g2d mount is bout 10mm longer, just gotta wait for posty now for my mount and pull start then get it fired up!
