I was going to put it in the marder where the cage is directly behind the shell but selling up now & just keeping the 4wd so will use all the best parts on this build inc the ally cage. I have some ally hubs & a few other bits n bobs to put on but they need cleaning up 1st so they will be added at a later date.

I said the same...will only upgrade to alloy if it keeps breaking..

now the only plastic parts are wing mount, rose joints and servo saver

all alloy and looking good..

your spot on mate it gets to the stage when you have to hold back a bit cause you don't want to wreck it as theres so much invested into it and a good crash can cost as much as a second hand marder to fix
 
TBH Barry, you're right.
Whenever I've finally convinced myself 'I'm going to buy that and I'm not going to change a thing' ..... it never happens, and, as you say, you think twice of just going out and having a 'good bash'.

(Last one I tried that theory on was the MERV - fantastic straight out of the box, but of course I've 'hopped up' nearly everything!!)

If I ever, ever get to considering a 5ive, that's what I'll be telling myself.

If Losi do a MLST (Mega-LST) then, erm, I'm stuffed!!

I hammer mine regardless

if I break it then I just need to save for longer to fix it....:lol::lol::lol:

As I only bash it I couldn't tell you if its better handling or not than plastic as I would really need to put it on a track and keep at it.
 
don't get me wrong i give all it can handle but it sucks when you wreck a £140 shell by the time its painted and the stickers,one bad landing and its cracked
