Ah yes, but for 20p each plus a bit of Poundland epoxy putty, it'd be a permanent fix that's better than the original.
 
I have front cable discs, and my left allways drags a bit, which makes it kick to that side a bit. So I suggest checking how free the front wheels are, and if there is anything binding on the rear wheels/axles/driveshafts.

because of the way the diff is driven, hitting the throttle shouldn't make you spin out if you have no steering input.

only other thing, are your tires directional, and is one on back to front?
