Oh ok. Now I remember. Good to see ya on here. Dude I need a firecracker under my ass. I seemed to have lost interest in RC. My Rampage MT has been sitting a month. I need to see why my center diff is noisy. Plus parts everywhere lol. I am an auto mechanic so I get burned out working on stuff all the time.

i know that feeling, my tmaxx as been sitting on the shelf for 8 years or so, my rampage has been sitting for a bit. im trying to get it up and going again,

So then I finally get off my ass and take two 5th scales out for a bit yesterday. Took the Dunerunner out. It broke. Stopped dead in its tracks and revved up without movement. So I suspected a broken drive belt. But it wouldn't roll at all. All four wheels locked up. So I get it home to find the belt did indeed break. But it jammed up between the brake shaft pulley and the belt cover locking the wheels. Come to find a little pebble down in a grubscrew hole on the clutch bell pulley. Think clear silicone is going in there now. Check this out hahahaha.20191103_164702.webp20191103_164758.webp

I had a grub screw come out and get jammed between the belt on the bottom pulley and the cover.
Got hot enough to put a gouge in the belt and melt a hole in the cover but never stopped.
I think I'll get the silicone out after your experience.

Can and anyone tell me how much this is, and If it would be a good one or the best deal, Thanks just don't want to waste money

Hey phill I order the belt drive I won't get it till the end of December, but I swaped my gears yesterday, I think they call it A and B and it would not even move, will the belt drive do the same thing with the stock engine

On the MT I think you're A and B are 25 teeth and 35 teeth.
Swapping them to 35/25 makes the gearing too tall and will burn the clutch.
The belt drive is 1:1 ratio and will work fine.

Yeah as soon as I started it and gave it gas, I was nope lol to big of gear, I order this hope it's the right one

Prolly won't make much difference.
The problem you have with the gear swap is the ratio being too high.
It will work with the belt drive though.
I prefer the 6k clutch spring as it makes the car more driveable.
With 8k it's either flat out or not engaged.

I talk to onell brothers and they said this would be the best engine , what you think

Well I feel dumb now lol, the stock clutch is 6k lol, I'm just trying to get more out of my mt, it only runs about 15mph lol

To everyones answer about belt drive. get it. You can't go wrong. To any new guys. Follow Steel City RC. I'm pretty anal about following his vids. (thats if you can't tell by looking at my truck). And yes he was off for a while...lol..whats up with that GS...lol. Every video he has has gotten me through all my questions. As for my truck, yes, its a Maverick Black Out. For many of you its HPI duplicate of the Redcat Rampage MT. Stick with the Redcat. For we have named this truck "Cursed". It just is. Any questions i will do my best. But G-Man is the man.

PS...G-Man aka GS. How many items do you recognize...:))

I run a stock Zenoah G290 with a Walbro 668 carby and a Jetpro exhaust.
The more HP you have the more drive train bits you're gonna break.
If you're only getting 15 mph I'd be looking at your tuning and getting a decent pipe.
If you're still running the stock carby get a Walbro.
The quality of the stockers is poor to say the least.
Gman is great to follow.
We often talk via this forum.
He has an MT and a DR so he will have a lot of advice for you.
He also swears by the belt drive and Jetpro.

BTW Redcat is made by HSP.
If you can't find parts under Redcat search under HSP.
Same part numbers and usually cheaper.
