cant get my maverick blackout started, have got spark but the engine is not firing up! how can i check my cut out/turn off switch is faulty or not?
 
If it has spark the switch isn't the problem. Did you check spark at the plug or just from the boot? Is it getting fuel? Pull the plug and feel for compression.

i checked the spark from the plug, am new to all this, how do i check/feel for compression?
 
Choke it till it sputters ( Begins to crank) a little then turn OFF the choke and it should fire up in about two pulls


Also Just Curious Where did u buy the Maverick From ?? Here in US ??
 
Put your thumb over spark plug hole while pulling the pull start. Should feel compression build. Has the engine ran before or is this the first time starting? If 1st time do what Trigger said. You may need to give some throttle to keep it goin.

no im from the uk, i got it from the uk.
 
Ok just curious . I searched for a Blackout here in US But ZERO LUCK. I would still buy one if i could find it thou :) Thanks Good luck With your Truck They are a blast!! Some times A PITA lol Cheers !

the blackout is basicly exacly the same as a rampage MT V3 just diffrent shell, just the euro version licensed by Maverick (Hpi euros, sister company)


i got a blackout aswell, ive never had a problem with my engine scince i got it last november, but i do notice that when you run the truck for a while and it gets hot and you turn it off, the egine dosnt like to start back up again till its bone cold. its weird


have you played around with the HSN or LSN?

also, order all your spare parts from USA there more then 1/2 the price then here in the UK!!!!!! mind my language but its bloody insane how they are getting away with these prices!!!! all the redcat rampage MT parts fit the blackout perfectly.


I could send you a small list of things you could do to your truck to stop silly little problems if you liked
