Hello all: :D ;)


I`m here in Ireland and always wanted a monster truck got side tracked last summer had a need for speed got a motonica P81 wow fast SOB


But been looking at monster trucks again not sure why but glad I did cause when I was looking at monster trucks last can`t remember when it was gonna be a Savage XL.


Anyways the REDCAT Rampage is the one I will eventually get BUT you cant get it on this side of the water and import duty would be a killer if I were to get in from the US/Canada.... SOOOO the clone of the Rampage MT seems to be the Maverick Blackout MT V2 this side of the water relief cause I will avoid the massive import duty... SOOOO my question is this the engine in the Rampage is a HY 30.5cc engine and in the Blackout its a ME 243 engine are they the same ????? :confused : ;)


Any light on this would be a great help and would remove a lot of doubts
 
i have a 2x maverick blackout Mts and its not a clone of the redcats, it is a redcat just licensed under maverick(HPI sub brand).

the maverick blackout is the redcat rampage MT V3 if im not mistaken. there might be diffrent variations in radio gear, servos as the versions progressed. (i have a V1 and V2 mavericks and the only diffrences i can tell was the servos and radio gear)

and HSP is the original manufacuter of this car, just companys from all over the world buy/obtain the licensing/branding from HSP for the car in diffrent names.

i brought my car over here in the uk, but i buy all my parts(mostly small packages to avoid the import tax :p ) from the USA as the price of parts there are more then 1/2 of what they cost here. even with P&P + import tax it still works out cheaper to buy things from across the pond

Thanks for the reply still wonderin about the engine??? is it more the same as the HY engine from the rampage MT???? :p ;)
 
it is a 30.5cc HY engine , thats what it says on the lable on my crankcase anyway.

(i think the HY engine is the same as the CY but built by HSP)
