I replaced my two steal 25s with mcd 23 26, no more gear binding ,gear back lash is good .happy happy now.

you took one gear down two sizes and the other one up one, how's that work, or do you mean 24, and 26, that's how mcd's are running.

THE SIZ OF THE MCD are differt .so one tooth makes the back lash about 10 thoused ,witch is perfet no gear binding .tose 2 gear come as a set.some one els has ben runnig them for a year and now ploblems , swo i tryd them and very happy so far.

C &D now i adid the extra bearing in back of gear plate also.i took the mt out for a hour.all good now.

Ok when i got my MT it came with the fast eddie bearing kit for the gear plate, so one on the stock ones will fit the back of the gear plate

IT,S a 19 x 8 x7 on the back side ,i used a 19 x10 x7 and used a sleve 10x8 to put in side the bearing ,and cut it to fit so the shaft whoud fit in side .ran a full tank out of it ,every thing stayd tight.i also put set srews in the b&c gear block to ceep it from comeing loos on the shaft.best time i had with out no gear problems.going to do my other 2 the same way, hope this helps.

Ok so you have mcd 23 and 26 on C and D. Did you find any MCD gears that work for A and B? I have excavator tires and have great luck with the plastic gears with no gear cover. The plastic ones don't melt or break on me but they do still wear out eventually after over 5 gallons. I remember some people having problems with the redcat steelies not lasting even a couple gallons and I blew the teeth off my ramtech steelies that had mesh problems so thats why Im with plastic-they work! But if there is a steely solution Ill get on board. How is the wear on the MCDs so far?

my mcds are great 2 tanks no wear.i don,t no if any other mcds will work.i,am useing the 29/31 on a&b and useing 4 bearings on d shaft. make shure your gears all mess good.u can revers the 23 /26, u will cut ahole in cover . i,am very happy now .

any 2 mcd gears that add up to 60 teeth can work in a/b. look at the sticky in the drivetrain section. if you really want speed or extreme torque, 31/19 can fit in c/d. mixing and matching gears, redcats prob have the most gearing options of 1/5ths.
