Does anyone know if it is possible to swap out the 23mm hex hubs on the XR for the square drive 10mm diameter versions for the XB, XT etc, to allow fitment of MCD or FG rims?
 
Old post but I just tried to mount FG wheels to an XB. What I found was the square hub on XB is smaller than FG square by about ~1mm. Also axle is 8mm and hole in wheel is 6mm. In short not a bolt on but with a little work it can be done. Might look into making the square hub in the FG size but with pin style on the Chimera/XR.
