mcd steering problem

Hi people
am new to forum so a big hello!

I recently bought an mcd race runner evo3, 2nd hand but only run a cpl of times,mint cond,
milled an fitted new engine, an had me first run a few days ago,
on cleaning i found steering binding?
on close insp i found track rod ends and bolts catching fr diiff-bulkhead bolts (badly) the big bolts at the bottom,
stripped down fr end but everything looked as it should apart from steering fault,,
any ideas its driving me nuts!! :helpsmilie:

ps servo save brace is rubbing on fr prop as well is this normal???

Sounds like the shock bolt's are too long?

Easiest way to set up the steering is remove the steering links the ones from the steering to the servo. Centre the servo's then hook up the links again adjusting them so the lh servo doesn't fight the rh servo. Hope that helps.

the fault is at servo saver end ,trackrod ends are catching the long bolts that go thru the bottom of the diff case-8mm nuts on
il try an load a pik but i don't no how yet?

Sous like someone put the lower hinge pins in wrong. The front pins have "c" clips that hold them & the rears have the nut on the end. That would be my guess.

im pikin up a mcd baja shell an body mounts saturday,
is this all i need for conversion (iv got the long travel shox up front already)
minus wheels for now.

With the alloy suspension extenders on the front, I'm un-sure on how the body mounts will fit. It does sound like you have the main pieces for adding the body though.

evo s2 mill,milky pipe, all ally top deck,all steel gears, and mcd ally gear carrier a must !! plastic wishbones for now,
plus wheel conversion an wheels,
engine close to run in (1 more tank) il let yer know how it goes !
