Hi, purchased an mcd comp v4 mt for largerscale rc, they won't be carrying the cpi rear tuned pipe the the v4 anymore. I have almost $3000.00 invested with the up graded 8hp Oneil's brothers motor. It will be a shame it I can't put a pipe on these awesome truck!!! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated:mad:

Why would you ever want the CPI rear exit pipe :w00t:on the M/T ?,

they just get damaged, you would be better with a side mount Samba:cup-1:

I don't think Keith's talking about any 'which side of the pond' issues here.
The main thing is the practicality.

If you're going to be hammering it, as you SHOULD, then he might be concerned that it might get beaten, bashed and bent in a tumble.

I've not seen any pictures of the 2 proposed / mentioned pipes, but these are the normal concerns certainly I would have if / when purchasing, aside from sound / noise, price, power and general 'aesthetics'.

+1 Alan;)

The rear exit CPI pipe will just get bent, when you roll the MCD, as it is too

long and sticks out of the back of the V4...i have side pipes and

rear exit pipes on all my models the best all round being the Samba's:cool:

my rear exit samba is well protected so cannot get damaged:lol:

The rear pipe produces great power just the same as the side cpi pipe, however the rear pipe will touch the rear wheels when compressed and run the risk of damage in three ways:
1. Damage the rear wheel
2. Bend the pipe
3. Cracking the engine crankcase unless you have the alloy one from OBR.

My suggestion is to run the side pipe.

Thx guys unfortunately most. Places in the states are out of stock. Some like largescale wont be stocking them anymore. Contacted cpi racing will be stocking in few weeks. I need to know if samba has a rear pipe for the v4 competition and if so where can I purchase?

Wow, the welds on that rear cage looks soo smooth. Did it come polished like that or did you use some elbow grease?
