I'm new to this large scale guys so correct me if I'm wrong.....but I'm definitely getting a 1:5.

I've done some preliminary research, which is of course youtube.

These are the videos i have found....No doubt most of you guys have seen most of these, if not all.....I'll post it up anyway.

MCD vs FG 2WD:

Some says it's not fair because FG is in video is only 2wd...so

MCD vs FG 4wd:

FG 4wd seems to be still unbalanced.

Redcat Rampage vs HPI baja 5b:

Redcat kicks butt of a baja, so this tempted me to get the Rampage TT.

MCD vs HPI baja 5b:

But MCD kicks butt over baja too.

MCD vs Redcat Rampage TT:

I think the MCD is just on another notch above the rampage.

MCD 4 wheel rooster tail:

This video was the decider for me.

I know it's a little bit more expensive for parts, but all upgrades are expensive with any truck to get it bash worthy.

I have a few buds with MCD and believe me, they are great cars. Too bad they those cars are always in the sidelines in the shade either nursing its wounds or just getting a tan. Im only speaking for my local field and it seems the MCDs like to stay in the open truck looking good while the Hpi, Redcat and FGs play in the mud. Im sure there are alot of MCD owners who take it to the limit, but unfortunately for me, I haven't had the honor of witnessing it.

Even the videos are unfair because it depends a lot on drivers. some guys can take a car with square wheels and lay the smack down on others with fully blow beasts.

just read the different areas on the forum here for a few days/weeks before deciding and see what owners say about repairs and such. And find independant owners... it's the job of a team guy to promote the product they drive (been there) even if they don't like it. I can't be a team guy anymore because I have to speak my mind. if it sucks, I am going to say it.

I have owned a few brands but always seem to come back to the fg's. most brands are 2wd, so if you want an even playing field get a 2wd. it's not much fun winning a race when you have the definate advantage

good luck with your decision. been sitting in your position myself

I've got a few HPI savage at the moment, so I'd like a tough vehicle after a few essential upgrades. If price is no issue, what would you guys recommend?

I just can't stand going for a long drive somewhere to bash and first jump you hit and it's repair time.....

I like the 4wd handling too so I was tossing it up between TITAN/FS/REDCAT/FG4WD and MCD.

HPI is great product and has great support but I'm boycotting them for not releasing a 4WD gasser...lol

Where are you located? Parts availability is a must. Change your location for support.

4wd would be nice but so far I have not needed it. Wanted it is another thing.;)

The Baja 5T is way cool. Have you driven any of them?

I always wanted a 5T and non in my area is for sale....Now that I've ordered my MCD there are three nice 5Ts ready for pick up.

Anyway, I haven't driven any of them yet, but it looks like I'll be driving an MCD for now, parts are rare, but the world is a smaller place with the internet.
